How It Works

Your complete guide to adaptive ACT & SAT practice

The 6-step cycle

🔑
01

Get your access code

When you sign up, we generate a unique code that is the only key to your account. No email or password — just your code. Keep it somewhere safe.

📋
02

Pick a test and section

Choose ACT or SAT, then select the section you want to practice: English, Math, Reading, or Science. Each session is fully self-contained — 20 focused minutes.

🧠
03

Answer adaptive questions

Our AI selects each question based on your current skill level. Answer correctly and the difficulty rises; struggle and it backs off. You always get questions in your zone of growth.

💬
04

Get instant AI feedback

After every answer you see whether you were right, the full explanation, and — if you ask — a hint or deeper lesson. The AI tailors its language to your level.

📊
05

Review your session summary

Each session ends with a breakdown: accuracy, skill gaps, and a projected score range. You'll see exactly which skills to focus on next.

📈
06

Track progress over time

Your dashboard shows every session: accuracy trends, skill-by-skill progress, and achievement milestones. The longer you practice, the sharper the picture.

Frequently asked questions

How long is each session?

Sessions are capped at 20 minutes and 20 questions. You can end early by closing the page — your progress is always saved.

What if I lose my access code?

Contact your program administrator — they can look up your code. There is no self-service recovery, so we recommend writing it down or storing it in a password manager.

How does the difficulty adapting work?

We use an Item Response Theory model. Every answer updates your estimated ability level, and the next question is chosen to be just challenging enough to maximize learning.

Can I practice both ACT and SAT?

Yes. You can start any session on either test. Your progress is tracked separately by test type so you can see how you're improving on each.

Are the questions real test questions?

The questions are original items written to match the style, difficulty range, and skill categories of real ACT and SAT tests. They are not licensed College Board or ACT questions.
